A big thankyou to everyone who packed into Fusion for Stalawatt's One Love party!
The event - our second annual Christmas party - raised almost £150 for the Uni-Dread benefit fund, in aid of cancer research charities.
The party featured more than six hours of reggae music from the '60s to the present day, with the full Stalawatt crew spinning tunes alongside guest selectors from our weekly sessions, all on the Pangaea rig. Late in the evening we raffled off a selection of prizes kindly donated by friends and supporters - including two free tickets to the Jumpin' Hot Club's Mighty Diamonds show in March. Freaky dancing followed, with Moko Koya returning from Germany to drop some dancehall niceness alongside Papa S.
The One Love party rounds off a successful year for Stalawatt, during which we've warmed up for some of the biggest names in reggae as well as taking up a weekly residency at Fusion. Thanks again to everyone who came down and helped the night go with a bang!
And in case you're wondering where the photos are, all we can say is that we left the spare batteries for the camera at home...
